Do you have experience with international legislation/policies, working with international rankings and/or working with international institutions?

    Position title: Expert on international and European policies and statistical indicators (DESI index) for the digital domain

    Type of employment: temporary civil service

    Salary conditions (gross): From EUR 1,800 gross/ The resulting salary is competitive with the private sector and will depend on the candidate’s experience and expertise.

    Job Information:

    As an expert on international and European digital policies, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of national and European policy and legislation in the field of the Digital Single Market and digital transformation. You will work in a team with colleagues from the department as well as from other units of the department to prepare positions on draft legislative and non-legislative materials within the EU Council, as well as on draft declarations, memoranda, positions of other member states, within the EU, bilaterally or within other international institutions (OECD, OSCE, UN, etc.). The work also includes the analysis, monitoring and development of proposals to improve the position of the SR in statistical indicators at national and international level (in particular DESI) in the field of informatisation of society as well as coordination and implementation of measures aimed at meeting the objectives of the European Commission in the digital agenda (e.g., within the meaning of the 2030 Digital Compass Communication: A European path for the digital decade). Last but not least, your work will also include the preparation of background material for the management of the directorate general and the Ministry within the framework of the agenda entrusted to you.

    Job Description, Responsibilities:

    • Developing and evaluating national and European policy and legislation on the Digital Single Market and digital transformation,
    • Coordination and provision of tasks arising for the SR from international treaties in the field of informatisation of society, as well as membership in international bodies and institutions, including evaluation of indicators and processing of assessments towards the EU,
    • Ensuring international bilateral cooperation of the SR in the field of the digital agenda,
    • Coordinating and executing actions towards the fulfilment of the European Commission Digital Agenda objectives (e.g., within the meaning of the 2030 Digital Compass Communication: A European path for the Digital Decade)
    • Preparation of background materials for the management of the Section and the Ministry within the framework of the entrusted agenda.
