    Position title: Information and Cyber Security of the Cyber Security Management Department

    Type of employment: full civil service

    Salary conditions (gross): From EUR 2,500 gross/ The resulting salary is competitive with the private sector and will depend on the candidate’s experience and expertise.

    Job Information:

    Your task will be to perform tasks in the field of cyber and information security, to create and implement a cyber and information security strategy for the public administration, to create and continuously improve a unified framework of methodological procedures and standards in the field of cyber and information security in the State Security Service and to submit proposals for legislative changes in the field of cyber and information security.

    Job Description, powers and responsibilities:

    The position being filled mainly includes:

    • Cyber Security Specialist performs professional activities in the area of ICT service security. They design, implement, maintain and operate security mechanisms and solutions
    • Design and present security strategies, security policies and security architecture
    • Assess legal and ethical requirements to guarantee the security of information assets, design and implement information and cyber security risk management processes
    • Perform and support controls and assessments of security processes, systems and mechanisms and treats deviations from the required state
    • Collaborate on projects to develop tools and procedures to optimise security systems, mechanisms and measures
    • Establish requirements, conditions and standards for the security of programs, databases, systems and networks
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of security mechanisms and solutions and apply them to the organisation processes
    • Develop relevant internal regulations and oversee their implementation
    • Assess vulnerabilities, threats and risks of existing and new ICT architecture components, perform security tests
    • Resolve and escalate cybersecurity incidents and provide assistance to specialised departments and law enforcement agencies in resolving incidents.
    • Provide instruction and advice to users of computers and information systems in the field of information security
    • Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate appropriate methods for training the organisation employees in cyber security
    • Communicate and collaborate with the cybersecurity professional community to achieve collective security
    • Participate in building the security awareness of the ministry employees in the area of cybersecurity
    • In carrying out their work, thy are guided by the security measures in place at the Ministry and by Act No. 69/2018 Coll. 95/2018 Coll. on information technology in public administration, security norms and standards

    Candidate requirements:

    • expertise in agile SCRUM development methods
    • experience with packet-level network communication analysis
    • experience with network topology design and segmentation
    • experience in creating and managing virtual systems and devices, knowledge of access and identity management
    • identification and assessment of security risks, threats and penetrations
    • information/software system testing experience
    • implantation of cryptographic mechanisms and tools
    • experience in data collection and data analysis in the field of CIB

    Education and experience required:

    • university degree II
    • minimum 4 years experience in design and implementation of secure infrastructure
    • minimum 3 years practical experience in security, analysis, solution design and task preparation for cybersecurity solutions
