Job Information:
We are looking for an independent and responsible colleague to join our team, whose main responsibility will be to verify the accessibility of websites and mobile applications from the perspective of compliance with international accessibility standards.
MIRRI SR, as the monitoring body for the Slovak Republic, is responsible for verifying the accessibility of websites and mobile applications from the perspective of compliance with the international accessibility standards Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. We are responsible for the development of a methodology in accordance with European regulations, according to which the accessibility of websites and mobile applications is monitored. We provide our expertise in training to editors, developers and accessibility assessors. If you know how to read HTML and CSS, we can train you in accessibility standards too.
Come help Slovakia to increase accessibility ratings and thus enable disadvantaged people to better access information.
Job Description, Responsibilities:
- monitor compliance with accessibility standards and functionality of websites and mobile applications according to international criteria regulated in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) document in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector entities and its implementing regulations,
- prepare documents for the Monitoring Report, including measured data, to the European Commission for the Slovak Republic,
- prepare interpretative opinions in the area of website accessibility standards and mobile application accessibility,
- prepare resources for raising awareness on accessibility (e.g., technical articles, training materials).
Candidate requirements:
- knowledge of reading HTML,
- knowledge of reading CSS,
- Microsoft Excel – advanced
- knowledge of WCAG 2.1 an advantage
Education and experience required:
- university degree II.
