    Type of employment: temporary civil service

    Salary conditions (gross): From EUR 3,000 gross/ The resulting salary is competitive with the private sector and will depend on the candidate’s experience and expertise.

    Job Information:

    We are looking for an experienced architect to join our team responsible for managing business and application architecture. Our goal is to create quality public services for all with an end-user focus. We apply a product approach, behaving as a solution owner, defining the architecture, roadmap and functionality according to user requirements. We work together to digitise public services and you can be there. Work on solutions that make sense and that you are going to be using yourself. Come and make a difference in state IT, you will be there for important activities that have an impact on society and the digitalisation of Slovakia.

    Job Description, Responsibilities:

    Your main task will be:

    • design solutions and architectural approaches for cloud services and individual products
    • define and drive the principles and direction of the government cloud
    • review solution designs and architectural approaches for eGovernment activities
    • oversee the implementation of the reference architecture in the cloud
    • actively communicate with internal and external partners
    • coordinate the technology architecture with participants in the Government IT assets
    • translate project goals, pledges and objectives into the development of realistic designs and solutions
    • translate visions, concepts, strategies, principles and standards into the design of individual eGovernment projects
    • compare options, identifying decision criteria
    • be responsible for the creation of technical documentation and control of solution documentation
    • oversee the implementation of the architectural solution for individual products and services
    • propose target visions for the technological architecture of the Government IT
    • prepare inputs to key strategic documents for technology architecture
    • collaborate with working groups
    • coach and provide support to colleagues

    Candidate requirements:

    • minimum 7 years working experience in IT
    • practical experience in designing and deploying cloud architecture
    • practical experience in IS migration to cloud-based infrastructure
    • experience in the design and implementation of private virtualized solutions
    • general knowledge of network-level security, backup, recovery
    • experience with public cloud, PaaS/IaaS/SaaS solutions
    • general technology overview, ability to quickly grasp the advantages and disadvantages of technical solutions
    • be able to compare solutions, propose relevant benchmarks
    • ability to read and prepare technical documentation for complex solutions
    • analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking
    • communication skills, ability to explain complex technological solutions clearly
    • ability to work independently and in a team

    Education and experience required:

    • university degree II
    • minimum 7 years working experience in IT
    • practical experience in designing and deploying cloud architecture
    • practical experience in the field of IS migration to cloud-based infrastructure
    • knowledge of public cloud, PaaS/IaaS/SaaS solutions
